For some time, Robbie and Priscilla have been working remotely, so they decided to move to a home that they could take wherever they wanted. Therefore, the couple bought a 1998 Thomas School Bus and transformed it into a small mobile home.
Firstly, Robbie and Priscilla chose the school bus over, for example, a trailer, because they planned to spend the next few years traveling and wanted their new mobile home to feel like a small house.

“We love tiny homes and admire the lifestyle of those who live in them, so we thought: ‘Why not build one on wheels?’”, they said. “We even added a ‘normal’ house door to give a cozy appearance.”
“Another reason is that we wanted it to be completely customized according to our needs. Some of the features we have that are not found in your typical trailer/RV are: stove, fireplace, real brick wall, completely solar-powered, real marble countertops, real tiles, real glass shower door, and much more. Besides, school buses are designed with more safety than trailers in case of an accident.”
They said they just had to break away from the monotony of their daily lives.
“We are happier when traveling, exploring new places, trying new foods, immersing in new cultures. We thrive on experiencing new things and adventures. There is something magical about traveling. It goes beyond seeing different sights. It’s the experiences that change you. We would return home from our trips, ready to plan our next adventure. It left us thirsty for another memorable experience.”
In addition, the couple took a year and a half to remodel the bus, however, sometimes they took some necessary breaks. “If we had done it without the breaks, it would probably have been done in a year,” they said.
During this period, they really brought the old school bus back to life. In short, the usable area is 20 square meters with a 24V system, powered by 6 360 watt solar panels and equipped with 8 6V 315AH Trojan batteries.
